Alex Chip is the owner of a boutique standardized test prep company (Top Score Education) in Washington. Since graduating from Duke in 2004 and completing an M.A. in writing from Johns Hopkins in 2007, his work has been published by The Washingtonian, the Georgetowner, the Downtowner, and Potomac Review. He is currently working on a historical fiction novel, following his grandfather’s bloody footsteps in Barcelona during the Spanish Civil War. His research in this project takes him each summer to Spain, France, Italy or Mexico tracking the ports, streets, addresses associated with his long dead protagonist.
